As of chapter 317, Tobi is the newest member of Akatsuki and is currently teamed up with Deidara, much to the blonde's annoyance. His first mission was to capture the Sanabi (three-tailed creature), and while he tried to leave the work to his partner and whined that Kisame should be the one to handle it, he seemed to have a hand in its defeat as Deidara had to remind him of the "...help I provided you". He's eager to impress his fellow members and refers polietly to his seniors in the group. However a lurking darkness surrounds him and he reveals that there is so much more to him than meets the eye!
